The flu and who knew

So it started two Sunday's ago. I got hit with the flu. In the middle of the night DH was taken down. By the next afternoon, little Miss E had it too. I don't know how M escaped it but I am glad she did. Fast forward to the next Wednesday. Poor Grammy gets it but it hit her even harder. She couldn't kick it and needed to go to the hospital for IV fluids. She was having severe chest pains but thank the Lord all the tests were negative for anything more series. Meanwhile...Grandpa Y. is in the same hospital as my Mom. He was sent in for tests and you know how long it can take the hospital to get things all squared around. Mind you Friday is when Grandma Wang passed away. My poor Dad has been pulled in every direction possible. I know how exhausted he is yet he keeps on moving. What is that old saying, No rest for the weary. Poor Dad.

So here it is Wednesday and I am still feeling sick off and on. I got into the doctor and she is running some tests to see if I have anything else going on besides a lingering flu virus. (She said it is lasting 2 weeks in some people.) Other than that, my anxiety level has been pretty high. Most of you know I have struggled with panic attacks in the past. So far the Lord has spared me from a full blown panic attack but that nagging antsy feeling is there. I think part of my tummy trouble is the anxiety. Time will tell.

Luckily Bret has been able to take three days of bereavement off of work to help get us all through. Where would I be with out my rock? Between him and my Dad they really are the glue that holds us basket cases together (waving hi to my mom LOL)

In the meantime, Bret's father has been admitted to the hospital. They are checking his carotid artery. Looks like there is some blockage there and he may have had some mini strokes. Prayers would be greatly appreciated for him.

I am hoping things calm down in the next few days.

You are amazing and wonderful. Relax and heal - we'll pray for you, your mom, your dad, your hubby and your pa-in-law. Joe had a chest thing last week (for which I was not very sympathetic) and Roman & I have fought it for 3 days now! Feeling better though. . .when you're sick, everything is difficult. You'll get better. . .
