Child update...er...dog update

Since I always talk about the girls on my blog I only thought it appropriate to include my other "child." Grommet had her check up at the vet today. She and Peanut always go together. For those of you that don't know who Peanut, is she is my parent's dog. Anyway, they feel the buddy system works well for them and there is strength in numbers. They each checked out very well except Nutty needs to lose weight and Grommet needs her teeth cleaned. (This was not news to us.) They each had a shot and were sent on their ways. How can it cost so much for such a short appointment time? After the appointment we had to drive right to the pharmacy to get Grommet some Benadryl. Last year after her vaccination she had an adverse reaction. Her entire left side was swollen and she could barely walk so she had to go to the emergency vet at near midnight. In order to help prevent that from happening again the vet told me to give her the Benadryl within an hour of her injection. She also gave her a vaccine with one less component to it. She said that is the cause of most of the reactions. The dogs respectfully request that you don't laugh at them in their state of fear in this picture. Thanks. :)
