Farewell to a beautiful woman

Today my Grandmother passed away. She was 99 years old and lived a full life. I am happy and sad for her at this moment. Sad because of course we will miss her and I worry about my Dad. Happy because she #1 was a strong Christian, #2, told us she was ready, #3, has been waiting to be with my Grandpa again for a long time and lastly, she went with out pain or too much stress. She was an amazing person who faced so much in her life yet did it all with out a complaint. Even in times she didn't feel well she always asked about others. She was beyond giving, she would always try to give us things since we were little kids. Something as small as fruit or a stuffed animal. She was an amazing woman and I couldn't be more proud of her or her life. She is missed greatly tonight and will be for a long time. I thank God that she is with Him at this time and at peace. We love you Grandma.

I dare you

I got the LG Dare as my new cell phone a coupls weeks ago. If it is possible to be in love with an electronic gadget (minds out of the gutter please) then I am. It's so easy to use and fun to play on the internet with it. The virtul keyboard is really nice. I wasn't sure if I would like it or not and tried to do some practice messages in the store. It's a breeze. Of course I hit a wrong letter here or there but it's easy to fix. The camera is nice, picture quality is amazing for a cell phone and you can even edit your photos. I am now looking for excuses to use my cell phone. In fact I can post my blog from it...how fancy is that?

New makeup

How can something so simple make me so excited? I used the last of my Christmas money and bought myself some Bare Escentuals. It really does cover so well and I can't feel it on my face. While I am not one for a ton of make up, this make up makes you look like you have a flawless complextion. I don't want to sound like a commercial here but it lets you see me and not the make up. I am really happy with it. Only problem is I want to get some of their eye shadow now. I can see an addiction building.

Valentine Treats

Ella and I finished up making her treats to pass out tomorrow at her Valentine's day party. They were really fun and easy to do. She is excited about handing them out. Or maybe she is just excited about the ice cream during the party?

Little update

Little monster is trying to get in all four molars at once. It seems they have all finally broken through. The last one can barely be felt and not quite yet seen. Maddison is doing pretty good considering. She's not 100% herself but not miserable all the time either.

Ella is doing well, she has her first Valentine's day party at school this week. We made a wrapper to go around a package of fruit snacks for her to hand out. We need to finish those up tomorrow. Maddie and I will go with her to school that day and join the fun.

Briana is her usual happy self. Doing fantastic in school and loving her Webkinz way too much. She has over 20 now between the two houses. I keep saying it is silly for her to have so many but we all know how obsessions go. In fact, I saw another turtle today and thought maybe he'd like to come home with me.

Bret starts back to work tomorrow after a long lay off. We are not sure of how long he will be working before another lay off comes. We have heard several rumors and are taking a wait and see approach. Trusting the the Lord will lead us where He wants us to be. Thanks to those of you who are praying for this situation. We all need it as well as others in similar situations during these tough times.

Woman's Expo

I got to take some time out today and go to the Woman's Expo with a friend of mine. Bret stayed home with the girls. It was really nice. We got lots of freebies and saw some fun and funny demonstrations. I wanted to get my teeth whitened but it was $100. I know it's not much compared to what the dentist charges but I wasn't prepared to pay that today. I did get one of those funny hair removal things that they show the infomercials for...It's like a tiny sandpaper pad that you rub on your legs. I can't wait to try it out. I also had a psychic reading. I really don't believe in that sort of thing but it was fun. She told me I am going to have a baby boy within the next two years. YEAAH RIGHT! We are so done having children. If the Lord wants to give me another child then fine but I doubt it. The rest of the stuff she told me was pretty general. She could have told it to anyone. Anyway, it was a fun day out that I needed. I am looking forward to hanging out the rest of the weekend with the girls and playing some Wii. We rented Carnival Games Mini-Golf. I love being able to try them out before we buy. Oh and Sunday is the much awaited day that we are out of our cellular contract with Sprint. I can not wait to get my new phone.
